Instrumentation/Electrical Assembly Technician

Position Summary

Assemble and wire components in electrical power and control cabinets according to blueprints and wiring diagrams.  Provide both in-house and field service for temperature, pressure, and other related process controllers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform field service, field and in-house calibrations, configurations, repairs and other related services for pressure and temperature process controllers.
  • Provide service to instrumentation, controls and field elements, including systems products and communications protocols connecting the instrumentation.
  • Understand procedures and utilize documentation to support ISO 17025 certified calibrations.
  • Perform field wiring of process controllers, heaters, instrumentation, and sensors.
  • Identify opportunities and create sales of equipment utilized in process control systems while at customer sites.
  • Effectively read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and convert them into wired systems.
  • Demonstrate proficient layout and wiring of panels utilizing basic power and hand tools.
  • 10% travel required to perform field installations at customer site.
  • Demonstrate organizational and time management skills to complete jobs accurately and neatly.
  • Communicate any print inaccuracies and deviations that may cause time overruns to the Project Manager and/or Shop Supervisor.
  • Maintain clean shop/work area. Includes putting tools away, sweeping floor, and taking out garbage.

Position Summary

The account manager is a field role that grows and manages a book of business with the customers of Sure Controls.  The account manager is both Sure Controls ambassador to our customers and voice of our customers with our associates.
