Integration Project Estimator

Job Description

The Integration Project Estimator will focus on assisting the integration team by estimating project costs and tracking performance metrics. In alignment with Company goals, this position requires learning how to define the necessary hardware and labor for various applications, identifying vendors, and obtaining up-to-date pricing. Additionally, the role emphasizes delivering excellent customer service and fostering a collaborative, trustworthy, and accountable work environment across departments. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotes and customer-facing documentation for integration projects.
  • Ensure all estimates meet target profit margins while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Work with Account Managers to gain an understanding of the customer’s goals and scope of the project through the development of the opportunity.
  • Analyze project documentation including blueprints, schematics, and customer specifications to determine scope and estimate labor, materials, and time requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Technical teams to validate feasibility and identify potential risks or cost drivers.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to secure accurate pricing and ideal lead times for all required materials.
  • Work closely with the standardization team to develop and maintain a unified parts list, ensuring consistency across projects, streamlining procurement, and supporting scalable integration practices.
  • Support the transition from estimating to project execution by participating in handoff meetings and documentation reviews.
  • Track actual project costs versus estimates to refine future projections and support continuous improvement.
  • Present weekly performance metrics to stakeholders, highlighting key trends, variances, and actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training: 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills. Understanding of electrical schematics and automation products used in our integration solutions. Mechanical aptitude and process knowledge.

Licenses/Certificates: N/A

Technology/Equipment: Computing/Software Skills including ERP/CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Associates or BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.

Experience and/or Training: 5 years related experience and/or training within the automation industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills. Understanding of electrical schematics and automation products used in our integration solutions. Mechanical aptitude and process knowledge.

Licenses/Certificates: N/A

Technology/Equipment: Computing/Software Skills including Microsoft based ERP/CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and QuotePlan Estimation Software.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Speak and hear communications.
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional travel (local, national, international) may be required (< 5%).
  • May be required to work hours outside of the typical 7:30a.m. – 4:30 p.m. day. Overtime may be required depending on workload.

Working Environment

The noise level in the work environment is from quiet to loud. Occasional remote work may be an option for this position. Occasional travel may be required (< 5%). May be required to work hours outside of the typical 7:30-4:30 day.
