Technical Training Coordinator

The Technical Training Coordinator performs a support role by creating training content and programs for internal and external customers. They assist subject matter experts in delivering content to those customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                                                 

  • Champion for Sure University within Sure Controls.
  • Coordination and facilitation of technical and/or trade-related classes, design and development of technical curriculum.
  • Facilitates internal development technical training classes and hands-on labs.
  • Schedules distribution partner specific training events for both internal and external customers.
  • Collaborates with trade-specific schools and recommend content, develop and implement programs.
  • Creates internal online course application content and serves as a application administrator, assigning courses and assisting managers with maintaining training compliance.
  • Supports and provides guidance in the coordination of the technical student programs.
  • Works with subject-matter experts to continuously improve the content, activities and delivery of technical learning programs.
  • Creates training classes for external customers as a value-add service pulling in subject matter experts.
  • Assist with associate onboarding across departments.
  • Champion for online training content, organization and software maintenance.
  • Safety committee member.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associates Degree or related technical certificate

Experience and/or Training: 1+ year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience developing systems and tools to assist in technical learning. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills.

Technology/Equipment: Computing/Software Skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Bachelors Degree or related technical certificate

Experience and/or Training 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience developing technical training programs and hands-on application labs. Strong Communication skills (listening, questioning, speaking), Time Management skills. Background in electrical controls or related trade. Competency within the thermal fluid and web handling controls field.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

The noise level in the work environment is from moderate to loud. Remote work is partially available for this position.
